See if your home battery can remove your electricity bills
HighFlow Energy’s Bring Your Own Battery Virtual Power Plant is designed for homeowners who already have solar and a battery, but still receive electricity bills.
This page helps you understand whether the offer is likely to be a fit for your home, and what information you’ll need to check your eligibility.
The eligibility check takes just a minute or so.
Who the offer is designed for
This offer is suitable for homeowners who:
- Live in Queensland or New South Wales
- Have solar installed
- Have a home battery installed
- Own their battery and have it connected to the internet
- Want better value from the battery they already own
If that sounds like you, you’re in the right place.
How eligibility works
Eligibility is based on a few simple factors:
- Where you live
- The size and age of your solar system
- The usable capacity and age of your battery
- The size and age of your battery inverter
These details help determine:
- Whether you’re eligible to join
- Which bill-free electricity allowance tier your system qualifies for
Your home’s energy needs always come first. The allowance is matched to what your system can realistically support.
Check your eligibility now
[Eligibility check form will appear here]
The form will guide you step by step and show your likely allowance tier based on the information you provide.
What happens after the check
Once you complete the eligibility check, you’ll see:
- Whether your system is eligible
- Your indicative bill-free electricity allowance tier
- What that allowance means in plain English
If anything is unclear or you’re not sure about your system details, our team can help you confirm them before you proceed.
There is no obligation and no lock-in at this stage.
About allowance tiers and system sizing
Your bill-free electricity allowance is linked to the size and capability of your solar and battery system.
Larger systems are able to support higher allowance tiers, while smaller systems may qualify for lower tiers.
To keep this fair and transparent, HighFlow Energy uses a published Sizing Guide that outlines the minimum solar, battery and inverter requirements for each allowance tier
HighFlow Energy BYOB Sizing Guide
You don’t need to memorise this or work it out yourself, the eligibility check handles this automatically, but the guide is available if you’d like to understand how it works.
If you’re not sure about your system
That’s completely normal. Many homeowners don’t know:
- Their battery’s usable capacity
- Their inverter size
- The exact size of their solar system
If you’re unsure, you can still start the eligibility check and select “not sure” where available, or contact us and we’ll help you work it out.
No pressure, no lock-in
- There is no cost to check your eligibility
- There is no obligation to proceed
- There are no exit or cancellation fees if you later decide to leave
The goal is simple: help you understand whether HighFlow Energy is right for your home.
